We all know that Season Passes are a “Use it or Lose it” program. Resorts across the country are consistent with their No Refunds, No Transfers policy. We have come up with a solution to this worrisome problem. It’s called the No Worries Program.
The “No Worries Program” is designed to protect your season pass against loss of use due to unforeseen medical situations. It will allow you to transfer a pro-rated portion of your season pass to the following winter ski season when the No Worries Program is purchased in advance of the ski season.
The No Worries Program can be purchased at any time before the Ski Season. The cost is
minimal at $35.
The Benefits:
• Prevents loss of use due to unforeseen medical situations.
• Allows you to transfer the unused portion of your pass to the following season.
• It’s a “loophole” to the Use it or Lose it policy.
What it Covers:
• Unforeseen illnesses which would prevent pass holder from being able to ski.
(must have signed doctors note confirming illness will prevent pass holder from skiing.)
• Injuries that would prevent pass holder from being able to ski.
(must have signed doctors note confirming injury will prevent pass holder from skiing.)
• Only applies to injuries or illnesses of the pass holder.
• Any other doctor approved medical situation which prevents pass holder from being able to ski.
What it Doesn’t Cover:
• Change of schedule (school, work, etc.) preventing pass holder from using their season pass.
• Location change or moving away.
• Poor or lack of snow conditions.
• Anything non-medical.
What’s Required:
• At time of Season Pass purchase sign up for the No Worries Program.
• To apply the benefits simply bring your season pass and a doctors note to the Sundance Ticket office to complete transfer.
• See pro-rated schedule below.

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification Device. Each of our new RFID cards contains a unique microchip that holds information pertaining to your season pass, S-Card, or lift ticket, which can be reloaded online before your next visit. A lifty can scan your card through a jacket or pocket without fiddling with gloves, a phone, or a loose pass.
Pockets are great! Take advantage of a jacket or pant pocket that does not have a phone, wallet, or another RFID card in it to keep your pass safe and accessible when loading the lift.
No. Carrying multiple RFID cards can affect their readability. You should carry only one RFID card through the lift access gates, and that RFID card should be yours.
The microchip in your RFID card contains a unique serial number called a WTP number for Wireless Transaction Protocol. This WTP number is associated with the ticket or pass you buy. No personal information is stored on the RFID card, but the WTP number does relate to your customer account if you have a season pass or flex pass.
While your RFID card looks different than your old season pass or lift ticket, the real difference is what’s inside. Each card has an embedded antenna and serialized microchip which registers with the access gate when you approach the lift.
Sundance Resort has a quality photo associated with our season pass and S-Card customer profiles. This photo displays at the lift each time you pass through the access gates. All tickets and passes are non-transferable.
Yes. All season pass customers must have a color photo on file. Photos will be collected at the Ticket Office at the time of pickup. Though we do not print your photo on your RFID card, the photo we have on file will display at the access gates each time you ride a lift.
The most important reason is to improve your experience at Sundance Resort. RFID cards give you hands-free access to the lifts, so you don’t need to fumble around to present a barcode ticket or pass each time you ride a lift. Also, once you have your RFID card, you can reload ahead of time and avoid lines at the ticket office. Of course, you can bring your RFID card to a ticket window to purchase your discount ticket as well, but we think you will appreciate the opportunity to skip the ticket lines so you can head straight to the lifts from your car.
Yes, but any holes punched must be performed by the Ticket Office Staff. Any damages to passes from punched holes will result in a $10 reprint fee. A hole punched in the wrong spot will destroy the pass.
No. The information stored on the microchip of your RFID card is not affected by magnetic fields.
Notify the Ticket Office immediately and we will deactivate your RFID card so it cannot be used by anyone else. If you need to get a new RFID card, you will be charged a replacement fee.
