What type of seating is available?
We offer reserved bench and general admission lawn seating.

May we select our seats?
Yes! When purchasing tickets, you can select your preferred section and then choose any available seat options.

Do the benches have backs on them?
The benches have back rests attached to them.

What does “general admission lawn” seating mean?
The lawn seating is general admission, which means seating is on a first come, first served basis. We recommend arriving early. Amphitheatre gates open for seating beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Can I bring a chair to sit on the lawn?
Lawn chairs are not permitted on the lawn. Individuals who would like a back rest must purchase a bench seat or bring a beach chair that doesn’t exceed 24 inches in total height from the ground to the top of the chair. Blankets are also permitted and highly recommended for lawn seating.

How can I get the group rate?
The group rate is available to any group of 20 or more. This applies to event tickets as well as the barbecue dinner. Group rates are only available over the phone by calling 866.734.4428.

How many tickets can I purchase?
You can purchase 8 tickets at a time. If you wish to buy more than 8 tickets, you will need to place a second order.

Is there wheelchair access at the Amphitheatre?
There are 6 wheelchair-specific areas in the bench seating area of the Amphitheatre. Guests with wheelchairs can reserve the seats around these wheelchair areas so that they may sit with their group. Tickets can be purchased online or through the Box Office.

Are animals permitted at the events?
Service Animals are welcome at the Sundance Outdoor Amphitheater. All such animals must be always under the control of their handlers. Any animal that creates a disruption will be asked to leave the Amphitheater immediately; refunds will be distributed at the discretion of the house supervisor. Emotional Support Animals and pets are not permitted.

Can children attend the performance?
The theatre is a family-friendly event and recommended for children ages 6 and older. Two years and older requires a ticket. We strongly recommend leaving infants at home. Any child creating a disturbance must be taken out of the theatre area immediately.

What is the inclement weather policy?
We will make every effort to complete each performance, rain, or shine. No performance will be canceled due to weather prior to the 8:00 p.m. showtime. Please come prepared for inclement weather and dropping temperatures. No rainchecks or refunds will be issued. Should the weather conditions become threatening during the show, an announcement will be made with further instructions.

How are temperatures throughout the evening?
Temperatures drop significantly after the sun sets, so we recommend bringing jackets and/or blankets.

Are umbrellas allowed?
Small umbrellas are allowed for rainy weather. Large umbrellas are not permitted.

Will tickets sell out?
The Summer Theatre almost always sells out. Anyone interested in tickets should plan as early as possible.

How can I use my Sundance Gift Card towards Summer Theatre Tickets?
All tickets purchased with a Sundance Gift Card must be made in person at the Sundance Summer Box Office located on site at Sundance Resort. The box office will open for in person sales in June.

May I take food and drink into the Amphitheatre?
We do not allow any outside food or drink at Sundance.

What kinds of concessions are sold?
Concessions will be available before and during the performance. A barbecue dinner is offered before each show and available to purchase online or at Concession the night of the show if it is not already sold out. Other dining options include the Tree Room, Foundry Grill, The Lookout, and Sundance Deli. Outside food and drink are not allowed at Sundance.

How do I get to the theatre once at Sundance?
The theatre is located about 500 yards up the hill from the base of Outlaw Express. Guests are welcome to either walk or ride our tractor-pulled ride up the hill to the Amphitheatre. Sundance representatives will be present to direct guests to the Amphitheatre. For all guests who park in the upper parking lot, a shuttle ride will be available from the parking lot to the base.

How early should we arrive for the show?
Plan on arriving at Sundance 30-45 minutes prior to the time you would like to arrive at the theatre. The doors open for each show at 7:00 p.m. with the performance beginning at 8:00 p.m. All lawn seating is first come, first served so we recommend guests arriving as early as possible. Since bench seating is assigned, we recommended that guests arrive no later than 7:45 p.m. to the theatre so as to not disturb others once the performance begins.

Am I allowed to wait in line for the show to start?
Yes. Guests may begin to make their way to the Amphitheatre at 6:00 p.m.

What time does seating begin?
Doors will open at 7:00 p.m.

How long will the show last?
The performance starts at 8:00 p.m. and will last approximately 2 hours, concluding at about 10:30 p.m.

Is there an intermission?
There will be a 20 minute intermission.

Following the performance, how do we return to our car?
Guests will be able to walk or ride the tractor from the Amphitheatre to the base. For all guests who park in the upper parking lot, a shuttle ride will be available from the base to the parking lot.
