January 16, 2025 – Sundance Mountain Resort, the premier mountain resort at the base of Utah’s iconic Mt. Timpanogos, announces the opening of the long-awaited Mountain Camp Day Lodge in time for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. The state-of-the-art facility centralizes essential ski services, including ticketing, rentals, ski school, retail, and ski patrol access under one roof, while introducing the Mountain Camp Cafe for dining and refreshments. The Day Lodge, coupled with 200+ new parking spaces and improved access to Jake’s Lift were added over the past couple of years. These major infrastructure investments at the resort are cornerstones to the Mountain Camp area’s transformation, aimed at making the experience for day skiers seamless.

“The Mountain Camp Day Lodge represents a pivotal upgrade to the Sundance Mountain Resort experience. Positioned strategically beside Jake’s Lift, this new facility transforms how guests access and enjoy our mountain. From seamless ski-in/ski-out access and amenities day skiers need under one roof to incorporating natural and upcycled materials, we’re connecting the past of Sundance Resort to the future, specifically with our local skiers and riders in mind.” – Chad Linebaugh, President & General Manager of Sundance Mountain Resort.

The Mountain Camp Day Lodge is not just a hub for convenience; it’s a testament to thoughtful design and sustainability. Upcycled materials play a central role in the lodge’s décor, building on Sundance Resort’s commitment to environmental protection and conservation. Reclaimed wood from around the resort has been transformed into stunning tabletops, adding warmth and character to the space. The lighting fixtures are a work of art, crafted from glass blown on-site to reflect the resort’s commitment to local craftsmanship and sustainable practices.

To celebrate, the resort is hosting an Open House on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 3 – 7 PM with a Rail Jam, Live Music/DJ, Dancing, Fire Pits, Complimentary Food & Drinks, plus several great raffle prizes. More information on the Open House and Grand Opening, scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 8 AM with a ribbon cutting, can be found here; https://www.sundanceresort.com/events/mountain-camp-day-lodge-grand-opening/

Sundance Mountain Resort is a Michelin Key resort originally founded by actor Robert Redford, coveted for its diverse mountain experiences across every season, and rustic luxury ambiance. Following new resort ownership in 2020, Sundance Resort ushered in the “Act2” era, with the intention of enhancing the resort experience, while preserving and honoring the land Redford poured into. For the skier experience specifically, there have been enhanced snow-making capabilities, terrain development for beginner and intermediate skiers, and high-speed lift additions to provide uninterrupted top-to-bottom skiing.
