A Weekend with Tony Foster
March 20 & 21, 2026
Presented by Sundance Nature Alliance in partnership with Sundance Mountain Resort
Please join us in welcoming artist Tony Foster for a special weekend featuring a documentary screening, artist talk, and exhibition viewing. Tony Foster is a plein air artist who has worked in the World's wildernesses, often traveling on foot or by canoe, to record his observations and experiences through his art. Foster's watercolors on paper with written diary notes and symbolic objects or "souvenirs" highlight the beauty and fragility of nature and, the artist hopes, further the cause of environmental preservation.
This weekend provides a rare opportunity to hear insights and adventures from the artist himself, tour his 18th Journey, Watercolour Diaries from the Green River, and enjoy a film screening of the new documentary Tony Foster: Painting at the Edge, which highlights the making of this Green River Journey.
