Honoring Robert Redford

A Chairlift Vigil that Lit Up A Mountain And Warmed Our Hearts.

Last week, over a thousand people came together on a peaceful evening here at Sundance Mountain Resort to honor the life of our founder, Robert Redford, with a candlelit chairlift ride to the top of the mountain he loved so much.

The scene spoke volumes about the impact he had not only in his art and activism but in connecting with people of all walks of life.

Gatherers shared their memories and appreciation, raising thousands of dollars and awareness for the Sundance Nature Alliance—a cause Redford held dear.
