(SUNDANCE, UT) January 15, 2024—Sundance Resort has announced the addition of Nick Como as its Vice President of Marketing. Como comes to Sundance with a wealth of experience in and adjacent to the ski industry, adding a well-rounded and fresh perspective to the company. Sundance Resort is an independently owned resort that offers skiing and riding on over 500 acres, several fine dining options, a spa, and unique opportunities to connect with nature and experience the arts.

Having previously served as Solitude Mountain Resort’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Como brings relevant ski industry, lodging, and resort management experience. He also has experience working on the agency side of marketing with local and national brands in the tourism and outdoor recreation industries, most recently at Struck in Salt Lake City. His marketing strategy work for Alta, Ski N’ See, and Ski Utah brings additional industry relationships and marketing perspective to benefit Sundance.

“Nick will be an exceptional addition to our team,” says President and GM Chad Linebaugh. “His tenacity, enthusiasm, knack for storytelling and willingness to think outside the box make him the perfect fit for Sundance. We are grateful for the contributions he is already making to the resort, and I truly believe he will be a choice person in helping ownership fulfill its vision for Sundance in the coming years.”

Como’s experience in promoting artistic and cultural events as Senior Director of Marketing and Communication for the SLC Downtown Alliance is also relevant to Sundance’s commitment to the arts––a legacy of longtime owner Robert Redford, who prioritized opportunities for guests to find inspiration in music, theater, and film in Utah’s mountain setting.

Sundance’s ownership group has invested tens of millions of dollars in resort upgrades over the past two years, including terrain, lift and building expansions. The company plans to construct several townhomes and other slopeside lodging accommodations in the near future. Adding gifted professionals like Como to the team is part of their goal to offer a world-class experience in Provo Canyon.

“The Sundance Resort brand has a unique history and an exciting future,” says Como. “The combination of amenities at Sundance is rare at a single resort, plus the unwavering commitment to nature and conservation is inspiring. The ownership group is investing on and off the mountain, and having the opportunity to share that story with loyal fans and new resort guests excites the skier and marketer in me.”
