If you’re looking for a restaurant with a view during your visit to Sundance, you won’t find a better option than our famous Bearclaw Cabin. A true mountaintop dining experience, Bearclaw is the only mountaintop lodge in the state of Utah, giving you 360-degree views of Utah and Heber Valleys, as well as the surrounding Wasatch Mountains.

Take a break from your ski day to enjoy tacos, burritos, nachos and drinks with your friends at the top of the mountain.

Try Our Famous Bearclaw Nachos

The nachos at Bearclaw Cabin have been on the menu a long time, and are by far the biggest seller at the restaurant. A plate of corn chips is piled high with cheese, pico de gallo, olives, jalapenos, guacamole, and sour cream. Top it off with the protein of your choice – barbacoa beef, sweet bbq pork, or tinga chicken. It’s a truly incredible dish to share with your loved ones at the top of the mountain!

There’s really nothing like resting your legs mid-ski day at Bearclaw to sit by the fire, or grab a table outside and enjoy breathtaking views of the Utah Valley, while you munch away at a huge plate of nachos with your friends and family.

Getting to Bearclaw Cabin

Unlike any other Sundance restaurant, Bearclaw takes a bit more work to get to – and it’s unbelievably worth it! During the winter months, Bearclaw Cabin is only accessible via skis or snowboard. A ride up Outlaw, Stairway, and Red’s Lift will take you to Red’s Summit, where you can sit for a bit to enjoy your meal before heading back down the mountain.

Terrain options from Bearclaw include blues as well as blacks, so you don’t have to be an expert skier to enjoy a mountain top meal in the winter. Intermediate skiers can take Bearclaw run back down the mountain. Just remember to take lots of pictures of your mountaintop nachos with a view so you can brag to all your friends about it when you get back down to the base!

Not sure about braving Bearclaw in the winter? Don’t sweat it, just mark your calendar to come back and see us in the summer months! During the warmer part of the year, guests can take a scenic chairlift ride up to Bearclaw — one of our most beloved summer activities on the mountain!

Bearclaw is open daily from 11 am – 3 pm, and if you aren’t in the mood for nachos, rest assured that you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu — from burritos, to taco salad, to our deeply comforting and warming chili in a bread bowl. We hope to see you on top of the mountain soon!
