SUNDANCE, UTAH (December, 2008)—Sundance Resort ranked 3rd in the Ski Area Citizens’ Coalition 2008/2009 Environmental Scorecard Top 10. The Ski Area Environmental Scorecard grades western resorts on their environmental practices. The Scorecard is a service to skiers and boarders who would like to choose resorts that are stewards of the environment. The Environmental Scorecard is the only non-industry, independent mechanism that gives skiers and boarders a way to assess the environmental performance of their favorite resorts.

As part of its environmental initiatives, The Sundance Resort has partnered with Rocky Mountain Power to increase its Blue Sky commitment to 192,700 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy per month; enough to cover 100 percent of the resort’s average monthly electricity use.
