(Sundance, UT ) January 2008---- Sundance Resort ranked 4th in the Ski Area Citizens’ Coalition 2007/2008 Environmental Scorecard Top 10. The Ski Area Environmental Scorecard grades western resorts on their environmental practices. The Scorecard is a service to skiers and boarders who would like to choose resorts that are stewards of the environment. The Environmental Scorecard is the only non-industry, independent mechanism that gives skiers and boarders a way to assess the environmental performance of their favorite resorts..

“We are proud to have received this award. Sundance’s commitment to the environment is ever ongoing and we appreciate the Ski Area Environmental Scorecard recognition of our efforts,” commented Chad Linebaugh, Sundance Co General Manager.

As part of its environmental initiatives, The Sundance Resort has partnered with Rocky Mountain Power to increase its Blue Sky commitment to 192,700 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy per month; enough to cover 100 percent of the resort's average monthly electricity use. The Sundance Resort has purchased Blue Sky renewable energy since April 2004. For more information on Sundance’s environmental programs, visit www.sundanceresort.com
